CONCERTS
SEASON 6: 2009-2010
We currently have two Fall 2009 concerts, both at Rider University (Yvonne Theatre, Fine Arts Building), both donation-based:
- Sunday, November 22, 2009 at 5pm. Featuring various soloists and exciting new pieces.
- CHRISTMAS SPECTACULAR: Sunday, December 13, 2009. Concert starts at 2pm.
Our Spring/Summer 2010 line-up is currently as follows:
- Tuesday, April 6, 2010 (time tbd)
Nicholas Music Center, Douglass Campus of Rutgers University.
A special joint concert with the Rutgers Symphonic Band (MD: Professor Darryl Bott)
featuring the world premiere of a Euphonium Concerto with Steve Allen as soloist,
and the band playing their NABBA program including 'Triumphant Rhapsody' by Gilbert
Vinter.

The 'First Birthday' celebration of the Princeton Brass Band. The band gave three premieres:
- Peter Meechan's 'Purcell Variants' (2004) - completed two days after the PBB's foundation last May - given its US premiere (and, according to the composer, the first performance outside Manchester, UK, where it was premiered by Black Dyke conducted by Nicholas Childs, the dedicatee)
- Derek Bourgeious' march 'Stanshawe' (2005) given its US, if not World, premiere
- Music Director Steve Allen's 'Heroes' given its World Premiere in brass band form
